Dr.R.J.A.Stephen Louie is a Practising Advocate cum Psycho-Legal Counsellor, discouraging litigation, encouraging ADRS in India. He is a Defence Lawyer in the Court of Law, practising in the Madras High Court.

He has a Masters degree in Psychology, Criminology, Business Administration barring Dual Law Graduation and has successfully completed a Diploma course in Guidance & Counselling from Annamalai University. His alma mater is St.Xavier's College, Pallayamkottai and Scott Christian College, Nagercoil for his first graduation & post graduation respectively in English. He is a patron-St.Xavier's College Alumnae Association and Life Member of Scott Christian College Alumnae Association. He has obtained DC from the FCNT, USA.

His mission is to promote the Psycho-Legal Counseling Profession and foster the psychological well-being in relationships and fortify it with legal ties. Many in life go through stress, being unable to manage disappointments.They experience excessive worry,extreme sadness and sometimes are unable to handle inner and inter conflicts.

Dr.R.J.A.Stephen Louie firmly believes that counselling process enables individuals to get in touch with their inner feelings. Review on Thirukural Translation-

Sujatha, the great luminary of 20th Century Tamil Literature stated that there is a yawning gulf between the classics in Tamil and their cognition among the contemporary Tamil youth. In order to make them understand, he made an attempt to paraphrase Aathichoodi and Thirukural into layman’s language. Similarly, Dr Louie, the translator of 4 + 3 word couplet Thirukural has not only abided by the forms of a couplet but also transformed into a lucid, terse and laconic content well suited to both the cognoscenti and mediocre readers with his multifaceted forte and profound erudition. A sample study of his efforts would throw light on his anchorage and supremacy over both the source language and target language:

“Kingdom perishes if eight

Virtues are unheeded” (Chapter 55, Couplet 8 on Upright Governance)

The youth of the generation would easily gat at the content of this kural as if it has been done in communicative translation I appreciate Dr. Loiue for the immense efforts he has put in to make this intellectual sage with a great amount of passion
